| Characteristics: | The wood is similar to Great Maple in structure, texture and color, but it is darker, however lighter in color than the Field Maple. The veining for transporting water and minerals is less predominate and the annual rings are often undulate. The wood is reddish, flexible, bendable and more pressure-resistant than Great Maple, but less durable. |
