Please find a couple of c4d materials attached below. These settings cover the textures 'boards-01..05' of 'edition one' and were contributed by a another user. Please note that we have not tested them and therefore can guarantee neither function nor quality. Please let me know if these files are of any use to you.
BTW, we are planning to extend our website with a tutorial section soon.
There's a bug in Internet Explorer 6/7 which (depending on how the source site handels the protocol headers) corrupts downloaded ZIP archives. Unfortunately, there's nothing that I can do from our side to change that behavior. If you're using IE, please try again with a different browser. We're thinking about switching to RAR format completely because of this.
so far I believe I've got some materials right, but I still have some issues
considering a material with diffuse, bump and reflectivity maps (wood 01 for example): which map should I use for the color channel in C4D (diffuse right?), and what is the glossiness channel in C4D? (is there a similar one?)
Yes, the diffuse map belongs in the color channel. As far as I know, there is unfortunately no direct way in C4D to use the specularity map as originally intended since the strength/size of the specular highlight is not directly controllable by a map.
I have no experiences with C4D myself. Maybe some other visitor here could point out a work-around?
I have made a tutorial for setting up Arroway Textures on my site www.michelescarpellini.it. You can take a look at the "tutorial" page. It's in italian language only but i'm going to translate it soon. I haven't used for this tutorial the textures i bought ion this site but some free Arroway textures i found on www.c4dzone.com. I hope it could be useful for all.
Thanks very much for creating the tutorial! This should be of great help to C4D users - even in the italian version, which google very nicely translates into english.

@Gerald - file seems to be corrupt, can't unzip it
Just checked the file and it worked for me.

@Gerarld - downloaded the file on a other comp - stil can't open de zip file - unkown format or damaged file
Did you try a different browser as well? Anyway, I added the files as a RAR archive to the original post. Please let me know if this works.
@Gerald- Rar file works correct - thank you - will examin the materials.
@Gerald - the C4D files are without textures - you have too save the samples as a project in C4D too add the textures and then Rar the projectmap.
You can find the map files needed here: http://www.arroway-textures.de/catalog/1

Hello Gerald, can you, or someone else, already tell us more about the settings in C4D?
Diffuse channel - Color map
Bump channel - Bump map
Specularity channel - Specular Color
Glossiness - Reflection map?
Please correct me when I am wrong.

can we have the tutorial in english, please?
thanks in adv.
Hello All
And what about textures size?
Do someone uses textures with original size? Like 6000x6000 px.
This huge size can affect .c4d file size or render time?
Thanks.
