Gerald, I see the other very similar thread...I'm still quite a novice when it comes to cg renders, but I get the feeling that these textures are primarily aimed at a renderer like VRay. I've got a few Maxwell Arroway MXM files, and I don't know who put those together, the NL team, or you? In any case, I'm having a little difficulty as I'm studying those the best use of the specular map in Maxwell v2...the diffuse and bump maps are pretty self evident.
Also, do the numerical values included in the file name of the texture maps suggest a numerical value to be entered in the render engine, for instance, d100 woudl mean diffuse at 100%, and b015 would mean bump at 15%?

Hi Josephus,
I haven't had a chance to get my hands on the new V2 of Maxwell. But I would think that the workflow to create materials is in essence the same as in V1. There is a good tutorial on the subject here: http://think.maxwellrender.com/arroway_textures-9.html&step=1&lang=0.
The Arroway material setups included with Maxwell were made by NextLimit. As far as we know, some users on the official Maxwell user boards (http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum) went through the task of creating materials for most of our textures. Maybe some sort of exchange could be arranged there.
More information on our texture naming conventions can be found here: http://www.arroway-textures.com/en/faq/14#14n310

Thank you much Gerald for the reply. Tom's tutorial on the Think site will get me going as well as the ones that NL created. I'm also studying the links you provided in your reply to the other thread I referenced....all very good learning material. Thank you again...great textures
